  • Sandblasting- the design and lettering are carved into the granite’s surface with sand and a high- pressure air supply.
  • Laser engraving- a laser beam is used to lightly etch personalized details onto the surface of highly polished black granite. The design is made with a special computer program, which feeds the data to the laser-engraving machine. A benefit of laser engraving is that an actual photo of your pet can be incorporated into the design of the headstone
  • Bronze Casting-- the lettering and emblems are raised from the surface and polished for a contrasting effect against a darker background.

Keep in mind, that if you are getting the pet headstone or grave marker to be put in a pet cemetery, they have regulations and guidelines that must be followed which include size, height, and width of headstones that are allowed so please check with the directors of the pet cemetery before ordering.

The process of selecting a pet headstone should not be rushed. Decide where you are going to put the headstone or marker and what size would be accommodating to the space. Decide what you would like engraved on the pet headstone and if you want a picture included. Take your time and get several quotes from different pet monument companies. Look in your local yellow pages for Monument companies that are near you. They too can create the pet headstone or marker and have as many choices as a pet monument company.
